My history had been a traditional career
in finance. I attained my charted accountancy when I was 25 and continued
my career in fiance for the next 15 years. During my working career I turned
to pilates after having my second child and it helped me to get back into
shape and helped the posture issues I had from sitting at a desk and computer
for 8 hours a day. After 7 years of doing pilates I decided I wanted to
do more....
I decided to give up my career in finance when my family and I moved
to Oakville in 2008, and move into the health and wellness field. I want
to be able to help people improve their quality of life and feel great
about themselves, through pilates and overall fitness.

From childhood to adulthood I have always been surrounded
by an active, healthy environment
At age 9, I was introduced to soccer and fell in love. At
age 15, I was on the starting squad for the U-18 Team Ontario. I was scouted
by a plethora of teams from the United States of America, and chose to attend
Georgia Southern University.
While there I received my Bachelor of Science
in Kinesiology.
During my soccer career I sustained 3 ACL repairs and 3 concussions. It
was due to this that I had to put my soccer career on hold.
Ever since I can remember I have always had a dream of becoming a Physiotherapist.
The
combination of learning the human body, conditions, injuries, and how to rehabilitate
individuals was my passion. I attended McMaster University from 2005-2007
and received my Masters in Physiotherapy. After extensive research and
personal experience, I have created a neuromuscular warm-up to prevent ACL injuries
in female soccer players.
Being an athlete at heart with limiting injuries, I turned to Pilates as a means
of rehabilitation and wellness. I believe that any training regimen should
include Pilates and look forward to passing this great experience off to all
my clients!
